Colorado Texas Holdem Poker Rooms
Most of the poker action in Colorado is in Black Hawk. This small town is located just under an hour’s drive from Denver. Four of the six poker rooms in Colorado are in this town, with another one located just outside of the city in Central City.
The best poker action is in Black Hawk, with the other two poker rooms in the state being quite poor without great action. The main game in Colorado is spread limit Texas holdem with most of the cash games being spread in this variant. All tournament play is no limit holdem.
The game isn’t that popular in Colorado, and as such you should be able to do quite well if you bring a solid game. A lot of the play is passive which means you may have to show a little more patience then you would in Nevada or California, but this isn’t such a bad thing. One other important thing to keep in mind is that Marijuana is legal in Colorado, so if you have a losing session you could always smoke away your blues, if that’s your thing.
