One nice touch is how the 100 Lines markers on both sides of the reels are
encased in Chinese lanterns.
Overall, this is a better background than we’ve seen in many other Asian
themed slot machines. Furthermore, Big Prosperity features a superior atmosphere
when compared to fellow 777igt games.
Music and Sound Effects
The music is a fast paced Asian beat that lasts for 15 seconds and plays on
loop.
We played this game off and on for an hour and didn’t get sick of the music.
But we could see players searching for the mute button after hearing the music
for too long.
Regarding sound effects, if you’ve played any other 777igt game, you’ll be
familiar with what’s offered in Big Prosperity. This includes magical sounds
during wins, coins bouncing around, and a celebration tune during Big Wins.
We’re never fans of stock sound effects like the ones that 777igt continually
uses. But the music overpowers the sounds, making them feel less cliche when you
hear them.
Animations
Animations include: symbols spinning around after payouts, balloons floating
up during Big Wins, fireworks shooting out of the scatter signs, and symbols
moving towards and away from the screen following payouts.
777igt uses these same animations in most of their other slots. But given
that gold ingots, lanterns, and coins don’t perform actions in real life, we
don’t mind the generic animations here.

Symbol Graphics
Big Prosperity features many of the same symbols that you’ll find in other
Asian slots, including dragons, ingots, lanterns, and letters. But 777igt did a
good job of designing these symbols differently than what you see in other Asian
games.
Here are examples when compared to other Asian slots: the dragon statue looks
bigger and more prominent; the gold dragon is shooting a fireball while
stretching its wings and feet; the lanterns feature gold dots and large letters;
and the gold coin features shading and four different Chinese words.
Again, nothing about the types of symbols in Big Prosperity is unique. But we
appreciate the detail that they put into making cliche symbols feel more
original.
Big Prosperity Slot Bonus Features
Aside from the quality symbol graphics, another thing that we like about Big
Prosperity is its special features, including free spins, a second screen bonus,
and 3 progressive jackpots. Here’s a closer look at each of these features.
Free Spins
Triggered by the lanterns, you earn 15 free games for 5 symbols, 10 for 4,
and 5 for 3.
No player will complain about triggering free spins. But we don’t like how
they’re void of a new background, special music, and/or multipliers.
Bonus Round
When you trigger the bonus with 3 or more treasure chests, you’ll be taken to
a new screen featuring a beautiful koi pond and clear blue skies. You’ll also
see Caishen – god of prosperity – in the sky along with a girl standing below on
red carpet.
Gold spots glimmer in front of the girl on the carpet, and you click these to
advance. Caishen will drop gold ingots as the girl advances, and the hope is
that they land in the girl’s basket to earn you prizes.
The bonus ends if the girl fails to catch an ingot in her basket.
We triggered this bonus three times and always managed to advance 23 spots
before missing an ingot. With triggering bets of $1, we won between $11 and $15
on each bonus try.
This is one of the best second screen bonuses that we’ve seen in an Asian
slot, and it gives you a great reason to play Big Prosperity.
3 Jackpots
Big Prosperity is linked to 777igt’s three progressive jackpots, including
the Mega, Minor, and Mini prizes.
At the time of this review, the Mega Jackpot is worth, $1,231,843, the Minor
Jackpot sits at $620,921, and the Mini Jackpot is worth $410,612.
Many slots providers don’t even offer a progressive jackpot as big as
777igt’s Mini prize. The fact that you can play for any one of three prizes
worth between $1.23m and $410k is amazing.
Betting Options
You can change pay lines from 10100 in increments of 10, and adjust coin size
from $0.01 to $1.00. This makes the minimum bet worth $0.10 per spin, and the
max bet $100.00.
What we don’t like about changing the betting options is the minus button on
both the coin size and pay lines. This button is touchy or even nonresponsive
when you’re trying to reduce your lines and coin size.
Other Options
Big Prosperity offers an auto spin option that lets you automatically spin
the reels for 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, or infinity turns.
If you want to quickly turn the pay lines up to 100 and coin size up to
$1.00, you can click Bet Max. But given that there’s no incentive to wager the
max coin, we don’t recommend using this option.
Located in the upper left hand corner, the speaker button can lower or turn
off the volume. We didn’t have a problem with the music, but it’s on a short
loop and has the potential to annoy some players.
Win Frequency
We played Big Prosperity for around 250 spins and found the win frequency to
be average for a 100pay line slot machine.
We won most of our spins while playing all 100 lines. But there were also
times when we lost 34 spins in a row.
Given that 100 lines at one cent apiece equals $1, it’s a big hit when you
fail to win several times in a row.
Big Prosperity’s saving grace in this category is the high volume of scatter
payouts and free spins that you receive. We also triggered the bonus round three
times, which is an above average frequency for playing just 250 spins.

- Regular payouts are made going from left to right, beginning with the

But for the sake of comparing 777igt’s quality to other companies, we’ve
chosen Ainsworth’s Dragon Lines and Spade Gaming’s Big Prosperity.
Ainsworth’s Dragon Lines
This 5reel, 100pay line slot machine has many of the same symbols as Big
Prosperity, including dragons, ingots, lanterns, letters, and numbers.
But Dragon Lines’ difference is the symbol graphics, which are more
cartoonish. This is most noticeable in the multicolored dragon, who has large
eyes and a big grin on its face.
The dragon also has a fun animation, where it pops off the reels and moves
back and forth when appearing in wins. This is Dragon Lines’ only dynamic
animation, but it’s still better than what Big Prosperity offers.
One downside to Dragon Lines is that it doesn’t offer any music, which takes
away from the fun.
This game offers free spins, but this is nothing compared to Big Prosperity’s
detailed second screen bonus.
Overall, Dragon Lines is a decent Asian themed slot, but it lacks the bonuses
and intricate details of Big Prosperity.
Spade Gaming’s Big Prosperity
We’ve included this 5reel, 15pay line slot to ensure that there’s no
confusion with 777igt’s same titled game.
The first thing we noticed about Spade Gaming’s Big Prosperity is that it
features Caishen more prominently, including on the title screen and as a wild
symbol. Other symbols include: Chinese letters, an ingot, gold dragon statue,
gold coin, red envelopes, and letters/numbers.
We really like the background and music to this game.
The background isn’t as graphically enhanced as Big Prosperity, but it offers
lots of details like bridges, clouds, mountains, temples, rainbows, and dragons.
The music is a pleasant Asian tune that enhances the game. But the sound
effects are generic, like 777igt’s version, and border on annoying.
As for bonuses, you can earn free spins w/ multipliers and play for three
smaller jackpots. While these are nice features, they don’t compare to what
777igt’s Big Prosperity offers.
Summarizing Spade Gaming’s version, we like the background, music, and
symbols. But we put it on a lower rung than Big Prosperity because the graphics
aren’t as crisp, and the bonuses are less detailed.
Conclusion
As mentioned in the intro, the Asian theme represents one of – if not THE –
most crowded genres in online gaming. But 777igt’s Big Prosperity has enough
elements to make it stand out.
The best aspect is the second screen bonus, which incorporates good
background graphics with a fun game. We found ourselves waiting in anticipation
every time that Caishen dropped ingots towards the girl.
Another good part of Big Prosperity is its symbol graphics, which use quality
graphics and detail to differentiate from similar symbols.
One more thing that we like is how you can play for three big progressive
jackpots, just like in other 777igt games.
The biggest downsides are the cliche sound effects and animations, which keep
Big Prosperity from being a great slot.
Nevertheless, this game has enough good qualities that we recommend it if you
like Asian slots.
